Mexican superstar Alejandro Fernandez has partnered with his label, Universal Music Group, to launch a management and booking company. The new enterprise, called Infinity, will be a joint endeavor between Fernandez’s Grupo Fernandez Corporation and Universal’s entertainment division, GTS.
Infinity will be run by Carlos de la Torre Jimenez, the current CEO of Grupo Fernández. Its first project will the upcoming Mexican tour of Spanish star David Bisbal, who is handled by GTS. Bisbal will tour Mexico in October.
“I’ve always been interested in supporting and investing in music,” said Fernandez in a statement. "Throughout the years, I’ve had a really good relationship with my label which is why I am sure that with Infinity we will strengthen and create various options and opportunities for the Mexican audience.”
Fernandez has long been managed by Grupo Fernandez, which also handles his famous father, Vicente Fernandez. The company oversees the extensive, lucrative bookings for father and son, and has secured multiple major deals over the years, including Fernandez’s massive Jalisco en Vivo shows in support of his home state.
